Brice Prairie Youth Baseball-Softball

Our priority is to assist children in developing the qualities of citizenship, discipline, teamwork, and physical well-being.

We try to split the teams evenly and because of this we redraft every team, every year. The Brice Prairie Baseball and Softball programs are designed to develop superior citizens and superior athletes.

You may register your child for any division the age requirements allow:

T-BALL:

Monday and Wednesday evenings at First Prairie Park. (Ages 4- & 5-year-old)

Tee Ball is designed to introduce young children to the sport of baseball and to help them develop the skills like batting, throwing, catching and base running that they need to learn in order to play the game while still having fun! We typically have a few tee ball teams in our program, and they will play against each other, with coach help.

ROOKIE BALL: Tuesday and Thursday evenings at First Prairie Park.
Rookie Ball focuses on the fundamentals of baseball and is designed to build a solid foundation for becoming a successful ballplayer, each week, players work on the fundamentals of the game, while continuing to learn the importance of team building and chemistry.

At the Coach Pitch level, the Coach serves as the pitcher for all innings. A safety ball will be used for Coach Pitch since this will be the first-time children will be pitched to versus hitting off of a tee. When necessary, the coach may determine that a player should hit off of a tee to finish their at bat.

This division is primarily for 6-, 7- and 8-year old's who have successfully demonstrated all of the Tee Ball skills. As with Tee Ball the primary objective at this level is to ensure that each player has a positive experience with baseball, and desires to play again the following year.
